A pen and ink drawing of a mandala

“The Living Mandala”
Within the “living Mandala”, the cycle of life and creation is symbolized, representing the profound interconnectedness of existence. This design gracefully weaves together the symmetric patterns of plan vascular parts with microscopic organisms, reflecting the harmony between the macro and micro worlds. Symbolically, mushrooms, bacteriophage viruses, and others unite to represent diverse life forms, illustrating the intricate web of relationships with the plant world. The work ‘mandala’ is derived from Sanskrit and translates to “circle”. Its design, characterized by intricate patterns, symmetrical, and repetitive shapes symbolize the universe or the wholeness and interconnectedness.”
