About Sakuma Auditorium

Sakuma Auditorium is a large meeting and event space located in the Agricultural Research & Technology Building (ARTB) at the WSU Mount Vernon Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center. The space provides a comfortable and professional environment for meetings, classes and other events.

Room Configuration

The auditorium can be set up with multiple furniture configurations, depending on the needs of your event (additional fees may apply).

Standard

The standard configuration features classroom style seating for 45. A large conference table at the rear of the room seats 24. Room partition may be closed upon request.

Theater

This alternate configuration seats up to 135 with individual theater-style seating. A center aisle facilitates audience seating. Perfect for lectures or media presentations.

Boardroom

This alternate configuration features a large u-shaped group of tables–perfect for boards & commission meetings.

Banquet

This alternate configuration features nine large tables with seating for 108 for dining or smaller breakout-style workgroups. There is an additional fee if using the ARTB kitchen for food service (preparation of food on-site is not permitted).

The Agricultural Research & Technology Building (ARTB) represents a unique partnership between Washington State University and the agricultural community of northwestern Washington. The construction and renovation efforts represent many years of planning, fundraising, and hard work culminating in a modern, efficient research and meeting facility.

Washington State University Business Policies & Procedures provide the basis for offering services and/or renting space at our Center. Fees charged to cover expenses for building operations and maintenance are applied to administration, audio-visual, care of grounds, custodial and utility, environmental safety, repairs, security, and/or supervision costs.

Our business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and closed on weekends and WSU holidays. If access to the building is desired outside of business hours charges for security will apply and will depend on staff availability.
