Carol Miles is a Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Washington State University, and Director of the WSU’s Mount Vernon Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center. Her current research program focuses on sweetpotato production for northern climates, tea propagation, and using soil-biodegradable plastic mulch in vegetable and fruit production. Carol
has her MS and PhD in vegetable crops from Cornell University.
Lindsey du Toit is the WSU Alfred Christianson Distinguished Professor in Vegetable Seed Science. Since September 2023, she has served as Chair of the Department of Plant Pathology. She received MS and PhD degrees in plant pathology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The focus of her vegetable seed pathology research and extension program is on the etiology, epidemiology, and management of diseases of vegetable seed crops in the Pacific Northwest.
