Biography

Laura Schulz grew up in Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degrees in Plant Science and Bioproducts & Biosystems Engineering from the University of Minnesota in May 2023. During her undergraduate degree, she was involved in potato breeding research and spent a year working at a pulp and paper mill. Laura is starting her PhD working on sweetpotato production and is advised by Dr. Carol Miles. In her free time, Laura enjoys hiking, backpacking, and gardening.
