Dr. Debra Inglis received a promotion to Professor, effective July 2010.

Tim Miller was co-recipient of 2009 Team Interdisciplinary Award (along with other WSU faculty and staff), College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resources Sciences.

Lindsey du Toit was appointed as Adjunct Faculty in the Dept. of Plant Pathology at the University of Arkansas in January 2010.

As a result of her nomination by WSU NWREC faculty and local community members, Debra Inglis received WSU CAHNRS’ National Women’s History Month Award for Professional and Academic Leadership, and was inducted into the WSU CAHNRS’ Hall of Honored Alumni and Friends in October 2009. (This award signifies contributions made to the college during the time she served as NWREC’s Interim Director, and celebrates the professional achievements of women affiliated with CAHNRS over many years.)

 Lindsey du Toit and Tim Miller were interviewed by John Ryan, reporter for KUOW National Public Radio, for two articles on brassica biofuel crops and vegetable brassica seed crops titled Skagit Farmers Wary Of Biofuel Crops and Can Biofuel Make Air Travel Climate-Friendly? which aired on KUOW National Public Radio on 6 and 7 January 2010, respectively (http://kuow.org/program.php?id=19137  and http://kuow.org/program.php?id=19143).

Lindsey du Toit, started a 3 year term as Senior Editor for Plant Disease, an international journal of applied plant pathology.
