Please join us for the 2020 annual NWREC Field Day. The WSU Mount Vernon NWREC Annual Field Day is a free event open to the public. Beginning at 3:00 p.m. faculty and graduate students will host a wagon/walking tour of some of the nearly 150 acres of active research plots at the Center. Hear about current research projects and learn how work at the Center impacts growers, consumers, agricultural businesses and local economies throughout the region. Two tractor-driven wagons will be available for non-walkers.

Our theme this year is “Technology and Innovation” with featured talks on improved weather monitoring for western Washington, UAV (drone) use in agricultural research, and research on mechanized harvesting for blueberries and cider apples. Additional short presentations and hands-on demonstration booths from many other NWREC programs will immediately follow the tour. Graduate students will present their projects and be available for questions and discussion.

All participants are invited to stay and enjoy a locally prepared barbecue.

An application will be made for two (2) WSDA Pesticide License Recertification Credits.
